PRODUCT INFO

How Good is Our Grip? The SRA's, B's and C's of Slip Resistant Footwear.

All XTRATUF footwear is slip tested using International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for Personal Protective Equipment. Testing is performed on both the heel and forepart of the shoes' outsole, an established slip testing protocol, used and accepted in the footwear industry worldwide.

The Right Grip or Get a Grip:

SRA Rating: All XTRATUF footwear is SRA rated for the grip you need on wet flooring surfaces.

SRB Rating: For greater slip resistance on smooth, wet and oily surfaces.

SRC Rating: SRA and SRB combined, for the highest slip resistance rating that can be achieved, giving you best in class traction.

Our signature triple dipping technique creates a seamless barrier that is highly resistant to many organic and inorganic acids, chemicals, and contaminants. We triple-dip the shells of our Legacy Boots for extra tough and 100% Waterproof protection.

No, our Ankle Deck Boots are not Acid Chemical Resistant, but our Legacy Boots will keep you protected from acids and chemicals.

We are working to get UK sizing added to the XTRATUF® packaging which is currently showing in US sizing. If you’re concerned about the size you have received, the UK size is printed inside the footwear.

We are working hard to restock so that we can keep everyone's feet warm and dry.

We have launched a back in stock notification. On the product page, please select the size you require and an ‘Email when available’ button will show to submit your request. Once the style/ size you need is back in stock, you will receive an automatic email to notify you.

It's also worth checking our website regularly as we sometimes receive returns which will be made available for purchase.

We are working on partnering with a recycling company for rubber wellington boots – watch this space!

SIZE & FIT

For more information on sizing, visit the Size Guide.

TIPS FOR MEASUREMENT

Measure your feet regularly as they can change shape and size over time. Different styles use different lasts in construction therefore sizing may vary with a new style. Feet are 3-dimensional, any measuring device can only approximate your true size.

SIZE v FIT? Everyone’s feet are individual, and we know correctly fitting boots are important. Remember SIZE and FIT are different and any size guide can only be indicative. Fit is affected by the style, last and manufacturing technique used. In most instances our UK sizing runs true but using our measuring guide will help direct you to the right choice.

The correct fit allows for room in the toe box (your feet get longer flatter and wider when under load) and no heel slip. Too big and the heel slip risks damage to you and the boot. Too small and you risk black and bruised toes as they hit the end of the boot.

Most people who wear half sizes choose to size up for a comfortable fit. Women’s styles are specifically built on a women’s last, which has a slightly slimmer foot shape to men’s styles. Our unisex styles are built on a men’s last and are slightly roomier than our women’s styles.

Currently most XTRATUF Boots are offered in full sizes. Most people who wear half sizes choose to size up for a comfortable fit.

Unisex styles are built on men's last. For ladies with wider feet, we would recommend our unisex styles as they tend to be roomier than women's styles.

Our boots come in standard width D.

For those with wider feet, we would recommend our unisex styles as they tend to be roomier than women’s styles.

While we have invested heavily in our shape and sizing, our boots often do not have a lacing system to customise the fit. If your boots slip at the heel, placing heel grips inside will help secure your foot and minimise wear to the neoprene lining.

We are working to get UK sizing added to the XTRATUF® packaging which is currently showing in US sizing. If you’re concerned about the size you have received, the UK size is printed inside the footwear.

CARE

For more information on how to help prolong the lifespan of natural rubber boots, visit the Care Guide.

Your new boots are constructed with high-grade natural rubber. As a natural material, it is important your rubber boots are maintained and stored appropriately to prolong their life.

Read more on our Care Guide.

For minor punctures, the natural rubber can be repaired with sealant found in local hardware stores. We recommend Stormsure Flexible Adhesive. First, clean the punctured area thoroughly with mineral spirits. Then, apply the sealant over affected area and wipe to a thin film. The sealant should air dry for at least 24 hours.

We want your XTRATUF Boots to be at their best and we have a selection of Shoe Care products available here.

We intentionally apply oil to our Legacy Boots, it helps to keep the boots flexible, contributing to their comfort and suppleness. They can be wiped with a towel or left out of the box for a few days to dry.

ANYTHING ELSE

Our products are manufactured to the highest standard and quality checked throughout the process, and again prior to leaving the factory. We offer a limited one-year warranty for products purchased through our website www.xtratuf.co.uk.
